Data Recovery

A drive that won't mount, a laptop stuck on blue screen the night before a deadline, an SD card that says “format now”, files you deleted by accident. We recover what we safely can — and the rule is always the same: back up whatever is still readable first, before attempting anything.

What this covers

Failed & failing drives

Drives that won't mount, click, or disappear intermittently — we image what's readable before the drive degrades further.

Deleted & formatted files

Accidentally deleted documents, emptied recycle bins and quick-formatted drives — often recoverable if you stop writing to the disk immediately.

Camera & phone media

SD cards, camera media and phone storage — including corrupted video files from cameras and drones.

Urgent thesis & work files

Deadline tonight? We prioritise urgent academic and work recovery and are contactable 24/7.

How an on-site visit works

01

Tell us the device, what happened, and how urgent it is — and stop using the drive immediately to avoid overwriting.

02

We assess whether it's a logical (software) or physical fault, and always back up readable data before any repair attempt.

03

We recover what is safely recoverable and are honest when a case needs a specialist clean-room lab.

04

You get your data back on a fresh drive or your cloud, with advice to stop it happening again.

Transparent, upfront pricing

From $150

Recovery attempts start at $150 for logical (software-level) cases. Physical drive failures vary and are quoted after assessment — and if a case genuinely needs a specialist clean-room lab that we can't do on-site, we'll tell you honestly rather than risk your data.

Common questions

Can you recover data from a failed hard drive?

Often yes for logical faults and many mechanical ones, if you stop using the drive immediately. The linked guide explains what helps and what hurts.

My laptop is stuck on a blue screen — are my files gone?

Usually not — the data is often intact behind a boot fault. We back it up before repairing. See the linked guide.

Will reinstalling Windows delete my files?

It can, if done wrong. We always back up first. The linked guide shows how to reinstall without losing data.
