Crows Nest ABB 100 Mbps: eero Ready Before Move-In

On-site · Crows NestAussie Broadband100 Mbps planeero routerPre-move setup

The customer contacted us before moving into a Crows Nest home. Instead of waiting for move-in day to discover whether the service, router and room cabling worked together, we supported the connection over roughly a week: plan preparation first, then the on-site eero setup and a practical handover.

The case record identifies this connection as automatic IP. No provider ranking, price or general policy claim is needed to explain what worked at this address.

Why the work started before the moving boxes arrived

The customer wanted a reliable home network and asked for help before the move. That created time to separate four tasks that are often compressed into one stressful afternoon: selecting and ordering a suitable service, waiting for the service to be ready, configuring the router, and checking where the connection could actually be used inside the home.

The source record names the address only at suburb level, which is all we publish. It records Aussie Broadband on a 100 Mbps plan, an automatic-IP connection and an eero router. It does not prove that one provider is universally best, so this case does not repeat the original “Top 1” wording. Provider choice depends on the exact address and the customer’s own requirements.

The eero was only one part of the job

The eero in this home was configured through its app-based setup. Once its WAN side was online, the WiFi name and access details could be handed over in a form the customer would recognise after moving in.

A router working beside the connection point is not the same as a home being ready. We tested in different rooms and the recorded results reached the plan’s 100 Mbps level in those tested locations. That result belongs to this visit and these test points; it is not a promise that every device in every corner will always report the same number.

The last step was the detail most likely to save time later. We checked the network paths serving the bedroom and the television position in the living room. The customer could then connect devices by Ethernet after the move rather than starting a second troubleshooting session among unpacked boxes.

What this case can and cannot establish

Final result

The ABB 100 Mbps service and eero were configured before the move was complete. Tests in several rooms reached the plan’s 100 Mbps level, and the bedroom and living-room TV network paths were checked so devices could be plugged in after move-in.
