Event WiFi & Temporary Internet, Sydney-based and Australia-wide
Warehouses, empty offices, marquees and pop-up venues rarely come with internet that can carry a crew or a crowd. We survey the site, get the connection in, build the WiFi around how your people work, and look after it until pack-down.
Event WiFi for every kind of event and venue
One team for the connection, the WiFi and the support, whatever the event. Need security cameras as well? Network and CCTV can be set up together.
Film set & production WiFi
Production offices, studios, warehouse sets and unit bases: crew WiFi that holds up, and the upload speed teams need for footage and files. Film set WiFi →
Conference & launch event WiFi
Presenters, registration desks, live demos and guest access in venues where the house WiFi isn't enough. Conference WiFi →
Exhibition, trade show & pop-up WiFi
Trade show stands, brand activations and pop-up stores: screens, demos and payment terminals kept on their own network. Trade show WiFi →
Festival & market WiFi with EFTPOS
EFTPOS and ticketing networks first, then staff, stallholder and guest WiFi.
Temporary office & construction site internet
When the lease starts before the internet does: warehouses, project rooms, construction site offices and short-term workspaces, with security cameras on the same network if you need them. Temporary office internet →
Wedding & private event WiFi
Reliable WiFi for the run sheet, the vendors, and live streams for the people who can't be there.
How much internet does your event need?
Choose your event type, headcount, space and what people will do online. The equipment and internet speed you'll need update below. It's a starting estimate; we confirm the design on site.
Estimated equipment
Network requirements
Planning estimate only, not a quote. Assumes 1.5–2 devices per working person (about 1 for public events), about 50 devices per access point, roughly 900㎡ per access point on open floors (our 5,000㎡ warehouse used six), and typical per-person bandwidth for calls, browsing and uploads. Walls, steel, outdoor areas and what the venue can get change the design.
What's included in our event WiFi hire
Site survey & coverage plan
From a site visit or your floor plan: walls, steel, levels, and where people will actually work.
Internet connection arranged
We check what the venue can get and coordinate the line with the provider, fibre where the site supports it.
WiFi sized to the crowd
Mesh or access points planned for your headcount, with seamless roaming across the space.
Separate networks
Staff, guests, and devices like printers and TVs each on their own network.
Payment & ticketing network
EFTPOS, POS and scanners kept off the public WiFi so busy guests never slow down a sale.
Cabling & security cameras
Data runs with our partnered ACMA-registered cablers, and CCTV cameras on the same network when you need monitoring too.
Support during the hire
The support level is agreed in your plan, including return visits when layouts change.
Pack-down
Equipment recovered and the internet service closed off at the end of the hire.
Warehouse WiFi case: 5,000㎡ covered in four days
A client took on a 5,000㎡ warehouse with upstairs offices for a three-month project. More than 50 people were about to move in, and the building had no working internet. How we plan warehouse WiFi →
Single speed-test snapshot on a 2000/500 service. Full WiFi signal at every spot we tested across the warehouse floor and upstairs offices.
Enquiry: 50+ users, around three months, online before move-in.
Site walk-through. Plan and quote sent the same day.
2000/500 Mbps fibre service activated.
Six nodes installed and tested. Return visit booked after move-in to fine-tune coverage.
Why upload speed decides temporary internet
Teams send footage and files, offices run video calls, events stream live. Many standard plans give you a fraction of the download speed going up, and that's what everyone shares. We plan the upload side first, which is why the warehouse above runs on a 2000/500 service.
How event WiFi hire works
Tell us the basics
Venue, dates, peak headcount and what people will use the network for.
Survey or floor-plan review
We look at the space and check what internet the venue can get.
Written plan & quote
Coverage plan, networks, timeline and one price for the whole hire.
Connection & equipment
We order the line and prepare and configure the equipment.
Install, test, hand over
Installed, tested where your people will work, network details handed over.
Support, then pack-down
Support as agreed during the hire, then equipment out and service closed off.
Event WiFi pricing: quoted per site
No two venues are the same, so we don't publish a price list. After a survey or floor-plan review you get one written quote covering the connection, equipment, installation, support and pack-down. Ask us and we'll walk you through a comparable project we've delivered.
Event WiFi FAQ
How far ahead should we contact you?+
As early as you can, especially if the venue has no internet line yet, because the provider sets the activation date. That said, a recent 5,000㎡ warehouse went from first email to working WiFi in four days.
Can you supply the internet connection, not just the WiFi?+
Yes. We work out what the venue can get, coordinate the line with the provider and include it in one plan with the equipment, installation, support and pack-down, so you deal with one team.
How many people and devices can the network handle?+
It is designed around your peak headcount, how people use it and the shape of the space. The planner on this page gives a starting point; we confirm the design after a site visit or floor-plan review.
How much internet does an event need?+
Start from what people will do: video calls need about 1.5 Mbps each, browsing about 0.5 Mbps per active device, and large uploads or live streams far more. Add that up for the busiest moment, then plan upload first, because footage, calls and streams all share it. The planner on this page does this sum for you.
How many WiFi access points do I need for 100 people?+
As a starting point, plan for 150 to 200 devices for 100 working people and about 50 devices per access point, so three to four access points, and more if the space is large, walled or steel-framed. Coverage often decides the count before capacity does: our 5,000㎡ warehouse needed six.
Can you set up WiFi in a warehouse or on a film set?+
Yes. Large open floors, steel structures and upstairs offices are planned node by node, with minimal temporary cabling, and positions are adjusted once the set or layout is in place.
Do you provide WiFi for trade show stands and pop-up stores?+
Yes, where the venue allows outside equipment. Stand screens, demo devices and payment terminals can each have their own network so the booth keeps working when the hall is busy.
Can you install security cameras as well?+
Yes. Network and CCTV can be done together: cameras go on their own part of the same network and are installed in the same visit, so one team looks after both.
Can payment terminals and ticket scanners have their own network?+
Yes. EFTPOS, POS and scanning devices go on their own network, separate from staff and guest WiFi, so a busy public network does not slow down payments.
Do you work outside Sydney?+
Yes. Our team is based in Sydney and we take on projects across Australia. Tell us the venue and dates and we will plan it with you.
What does it cost?+
Every venue is different, so we quote per site after a survey or floor-plan review rather than publishing a price list. Ask us and we will walk you through a comparable project we have delivered.
Our venue has its own IT rules. Is that a problem?+
Some venues do not allow outside WiFi equipment, and some have their own suppliers. Check with your venue first; we are happy to speak with the venue manager to work out what is allowed.
What happens at the end of the hire?+
We remove the equipment and close off the internet service. Providers usually need notice to cancel, so let us know your end date as early as possible, and we can extend if your schedule runs over.
Can we talk to you in Chinese?+
Yes. Our team works in English and Chinese (Mandarin), for organisers and companies who prefer either.
