Trade show & exhibition WiFi, for stands, activations and pop-ups
Exhibition halls are crowded with competing WiFi, and shared hall internet often slows down once the doors open. We set up a network for your stand, brand activation or pop-up store, so screens, demos and payment terminals keep working all day.
What exhibition and pop-up WiFi has to handle
A stand has hours, not weeks, to set up, and it shares the airwaves with every other exhibitor.
Crowded airwaves
Hundreds of stands broadcast their own WiFi. Channels and positions are planned so your network is not drowned out.
Payments that must not stop
EFTPOS and POS go on their own network, so a sale never waits for a slow guest connection.
Screens and demos
Digital signage, product demos and lead-capture tablets need a steady connection from open to close.
Short bump-in
Install, test and hand over inside the venue's bump-in window, then pack down on time.
Our stand and pop-up network setup
Planned before bump-in, so on the day it is installation and testing, not guesswork.
- Venue rules checked firstSome halls require their own internet supplier. We confirm what is allowed and work within it.
- Payments on their own networkA separate WiFi name and VLAN for EFTPOS, POS and scanners.
- Screens and demos wired where possibleCabled ports for signage and demo stations, WiFi for tablets and staff.
- Guest WiFi if you want itA visitor network for activations and data capture, kept apart from your business devices.
- Pack-down on timeEquipment out within the venue's bump-out window.
Security cameras for pop-up stores
For a pop-up store, or a stand left set up overnight, cameras can go on the same network, on their own VLAN, installed in the same visit as the WiFi.
- Stock and till areas covered
- Cameras on their own VLAN
- Installed with the WiFi
How much internet does your stand or pop-up need?
Preset to a busy stand or pop-up: 40 people at peak across 300㎡, with payments, guest WiFi and screens. Adjust it for your space.
Estimated equipment
Network requirements
Planning estimate only, not a quote. Assumes 1.5–2 devices per working person (about 1 for public events), about 50 devices per access point, roughly 900㎡ per access point on open floors (our 5,000㎡ warehouse used six), and typical per-person bandwidth for calls, browsing and uploads. Walls, steel, outdoor areas and what the venue can get change the design.

How trade show WiFi hire runs
Stand size, hall, dates, devices, payments and the venue's rules.
Networks, equipment and ports listed before bump-in.
Installed, tested and handed over before doors open.
Equipment packed down within the venue's window.
Exhibition WiFi pricing: quoted per stand
Stand size, devices, payments and what the venue provides all change the setup, so we quote per event. Ask us and we will walk you through a comparable project we have delivered.
Trade show & exhibition WiFi FAQ
Can we bring our own WiFi into an exhibition hall?+
It depends on the venue. Some halls require their own internet supplier or restrict outside WiFi. Check your exhibitor manual first; we can speak with the venue to work out what is allowed.
Will EFTPOS keep working when the hall is busy?+
Payment terminals go on their own network, separate from staff and guest WiFi, so a busy hall or guest network does not slow down payments.
Can you connect screens and demo stations?+
Yes. Signage and demo stations get cabled ports where possible, and tablets and staff devices use WiFi.
Do you set up pop-up stores?+
Yes. A pop-up store gets the internet connection, WiFi, a payment network and, if you need them, security cameras, for the length of the lease.
Can you install cameras at a pop-up store?+
Yes. Network and CCTV can be done together: cameras go on their own VLAN and are installed in the same visit as the WiFi.
How much internet does a stand need?+
Most stands need far less download than a conference, but steady connections for payments and demos. A starting point is a few devices per staff member plus screens, and guests if you offer WiFi. The planner on this page estimates it for your stand.
